Community Champions

These crisp clear days are here to remind us that winter isn’t quite done…

To showcase last month’s NAIDOC Community Awards; we invited “Community Champion” winner Janet Suey, family and friends to help us showcase the latest in-Centre fashion.

As we draw near to the end of the cooler months, the novelty of wearing our favourite boots and snuggling up in cosy winter knits starts to fade.

With the promise of crisp cool days still ahead, (hopefully minus the extremes), winter style has just a little longer in the spotlight, so we’ve rounded up the best of the last of winter’s looks to keep you looking fresh until the highly anticipated step into spring.

OUR FAVOURITE TRANSEASONAL LOOKS

Witchery is a favourite for elevated casual style (and that’s Cyndee’s style!) this month we fell in love with the stretch linen blend pant, (perfect with a sneaker or ankle boot) with the classic denim jacket in a vintage wash, layered over this essential striped cotton shirt in summer green.

For a bold feminine statement (that’s you Emily!) the Country Road warm chocolate hues are unbeatable wardrobe staples that will take you from season to season.

This super-stylish on-point (Nikki to a tee!) khaki cape from Forever New is layering at its finest, (and run don’t walk as it’s just gone on sale…) And you can’t go past classic and sleek (looking at you Janet!) for the knit that goes with all the wardrobe. Pair either back with your favourite slim-lined jeans for a look that will adapt to the highs and lows of our lovely Toowoomba weather.

For classic, timeless style (as per the lovely Jean Suey), Sportscraft boast some of the finest staple pieces of the season. We love the versatility of the sunshine long line cardigan in camel – paired with the Eva capri pant and a pop of colour with the soft mohair knit. Pop on a statement scarf and brooch to keep it personal.

For the babes in your life (thanks Kingston – you are a star!), Cotton on Kids have you covered with an array of options that are both fun and practical. Re-live your own childhood rock star memories with the ACDC tee, acid wash denim jacket and cargos. Definitely the coolest kids on the block!

It's not long now until spring, but winter still has a few moments in the spotlight, so head into store now, for the best of the last …..

Thanks to the Suey family for being fun models for Grand Central!
