Our Little Grandies kids program hosts a range of regular activities designed for children who aren't yet at school. Bring your kids along for fun and educational activities hosted during the week.

2024

First 5 Forever

Join the Toowoomba Region First 5 Forever team for a fun and free story and playtime in the Grand Central Community Library especially for our Little Grandies.

Children will listen to a story, have a singalong and spend time on free-play or a small craft activity.

This free event is best suited for children under 5, and parents/guardians must be in attendance.  

Time: 10am - 11am

Where: Community Library, Level 1 – near Athlete’s Foot.

When: The last Thursday of each month*

First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

   

Tinker Kids Art Club

Tinker Kids Art Club will run FREE arts and crafts activities for our Little Grandies in the Community Library, near Athletes Foot, from February.

Parental supervision is required but all ages can join in the free crafting fun – and better yet there are no bookings required, just turn up!

Time: 10am to 11am

Where: Community Library, Level 1, Near Athlete’s Foot

When: Second Wednesday of the month

  • 13 November
  • 11 December

All ages welcome; parental supervision required.

 

Maggie Moo Music

Come have lots of musical fun with Maggie Moo and The Moo Croo at Grand Central!

On the last Thursday of every month, as part of our Little Grandies Program, Maggie Moo will be bringing musical instruments, parachute games, dress ups, bubbles and lots more to engage your child in a fun musical program.

All ages welcome but parental supervision is required.

Time:

Session 1 - 9:30am to 9:50am 

Session 2 - 10:10am to 10:30am

Where: Community Library, Level 1, Near Athlete’s Foot

When: Last Tuesday of every month
