Ladies it’s time to re-imagine linen as it has taken on new life this seasonfrom plunging ruffled necklines to off the shoulder floor length maxi’s
We are all swooning over the White palm linen frill dress from Dissh (run don’t walk), with its cut out back and deep neck line, this dress will effortlessly take you from day to night! For something a little more suitable for daytime soiree, an off the shoulder linen maxi will elevate your style with ease - our favourite from Seed – the spot linen maxi dress in a neutral sand hue with an irresistible polka dot. Prefer something a little shorter? The same print is available in a mini version – complete the look with an oversized pair of sunnies, a statement earring and woven flat…you’re welcome!

For the event that requires something effortlessly cool, neutrals are and will forever be your never-fail option and this season the options are plentiful. Consider darker shades of chocolate or olive hues, or make it really easy when mixing and matching with tone on tone (possibly the easiest way to elevate your outfit in the most stylish of ways)

For the gents, we love the Blaq Renmark pleat front pant in stone paired back with the Aiden knitted polo both available at Myer.

For the ladies, look no further than Florence and Marabel and be quick to snap up the William Dress by Marle in Clover. This one shoulder cotton maxi is a full silhouette with an adjustable strap and quite simply, pure perfection. An investment in a piece like this holds no regret.

Gentlemen, whether you need to channel resort style or are lucky enough to be heading to one, consider MJ Bale your best kept style secret. Giving the classics a fresh twist, we love the Collaroy linen pant (100% French linen - ‘Oui Oui’) paired back with the Quimby shirt; the lightest 100% cotton Twill fabric you’ve ever worn in your life…. Style and comfort together?  Yes sir! And for the ladies, button through and wrap dresses are your answer to resort chic, in linens and soft floaty fabrics that swish, complete the look with an oversized hat and sunglasses, switch out the fabric belt for one with a neutral weave and pair back with a wedge to add a few inches.

Need some inspiration? Check out Sportscraft’s Bonnie Spot Dress, in Ivory (print also available in a shirt, if your more of a pants girl and need something fabulous up top) or the beautiful organically grown French linen maxi from our favourites at County Road.

For the grand finale, a New Year’s Eve to remember or just because you can, a wrap up of summer’s best wouldn’t be complete without something that sparkles and shimmers under the light and a suit that makes you swoon.

Forever New have a gorgeous range of sequins and all things that glitter. Among our must have’s is the Danica Sequin Cowl Midi available in both bronze and silverholding your curves in all the right places. Definitely a show stopper, so prepare to be noticed!

If sequins aren’t quite your thing, head to Sheike for an array of party dresses where your only problem will be which fabulous outfit you will choose and facing the risk of purchasing several. We love the Botanica Maxi Dress - with cut outs in all the right places, it’s a little bit flirty and a little bit mysterious. Or the amazing Dream Catcher skirt and top- could anything be more fitting for New Year’s Eve? And because we are true dreamers at heart, we chose to pair ours back with the ultimate blue satin stiletto (hello Cinderella) from Wittner…. All you need now is your prince or princess charming.

With the release of the 25th movie in the Bond series, surely a suitably inspired 007ensemble is on every man’s wardrobe hit list. Sharp, classic and paired back with a black tee for some extra comfort, we paired our favourites from Peter Jackson with a black patent Brogue and suggest adding your favourite martini… shaken not stirred. #swoon.
