We offer FREE hire of wheelchairs and motorised scooters during Centre trading hours. To book any equipment, please phone the Customer Service Desk on (07) 4632 5866.
Hire outside of core trading hours can be arranged by appointment.
Bookings can be made up to two weeks in advance. Upon arrival at the Centre, visit the Customer Service Desk and provide proof of identity to collect your scooter or wheelchair.
Marked disability parking spots are provided at all of the Centre’s main car park entrances.
Lifts, travelators and disability restrooms are located throughout the Centre.
To increase the ease of use of Grand Central, we now have several Seniors Parking spots available closer to our entrances.
These Seniors Parking spaces are not legally restricted spaces, however, they’re ‘reserved’ by Grand Central as a courtesy to our senior customers.
These parks rely on others to respect the signage and park elsewhere so that these spaces are free for the people who really need them.
Grand Central has a desktop Hearing Loop at Customer Service. The ‘Smartloop’ hearing device enables those with hearing aids or cochlear implants to connect to the device via Telecoil (T-Coil) technology to reduce background noise and enhance speech clarity while staff speak through a small microphone.

For parents or minders shopping with children, our parents rooms are located on Level 1 and Level 2 of the original Centre; and Ground Level, Level 1 and Level 2 of the Extension.
The Parent’s rooms are fitted with a microwave oven, change tables, parent and child toilets and private feeding area.
